"Take Me Back" came to me one night while I was lying in bed. About to drift off to sleep I just kept hearing the words, "Take Me Back... Take Me Back", repeat over and over again in my head. I woke up the next morning and the melody was still in my head, I took that as an indicator that I must be on to something good. Out of any song from the album, this one really encompasses the hard-hitting yet beautiful theme I was taking with the album. Take Me Back drew a lot of inspiration from House Music. I've always been a lover of House Music because it can be so beautiful, with long synths and bleeps and glitches but very direct with it's beats.
